Band Student Leadership will meet next on Wednesday, March 17, at 8AM.

Please remember that this Wednesday, February 17 at 8AM, we have a meeting in the bandroom.
All Leadership Team members are expected to attend.
The most important topic for discussion we posed at the last meeting was mentorship and retention of younger band members.
Leadership Council and Committee; please make sure you have considered that topic carefully, and be prepared with some concrete ideas to discuss this Wednesday.
Please email me with any other ideas or topics you would like included on the meeting agenda.

Leadership in Action: To the Advance Band members who have so graciously been attending Intermediate Band rehearsals in the mornings as mentors, we thank you for all you do to encourage and support your fellow band members and for your examples of leadership in action. We look forward to seeing you, as your schedule permits, at future Intermediate Band rehearsals.

ALL members of the Leadership Team MUST attend these meetings.

Additionally, any student wanting to be considered for a leadership position must submit a one page essay on why they should be a student leader NO LATER THAN 3PM, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11th.
This Thursday, December 10, the Music Department will be having a leadership conference for
all interested band students after school from 4-6 P.M. in the Band Room. Gary Gribble, the band
director from Pope High School, will be here offering his leadership expertise and experience to
our band students.
Any interested band students should:
Email Ms. Williams or Mr. Wright to confirm their attendance.
Bring an extra snack with them on Thursday.
The schedule for the Leadership seminar will be as follows:
Meet immediately after school in the Band Room
Sign - in
3:00 - 3:30 Eat snack
3:30 - 3:45 clean-up area, wash up from snack, bathroom break
3:45-3:55 In seats
4:00 Conference.

Leadership Seminar On Thursday, December 10, from 4-6PM in the HMS bandroom,
The Music Department will be hosting a leadership seminar for all interested band students.
Gary Gribble, Director of Bands at Pope High School, will be leading the seminar.
Mr. Gribble is a friend and supporter of our band program, and our students always enjoy his energy, anecdotes, and valuable information.
The seminar is open and highly recommended to any band student, whether they want to be a member of the band leadership team or not.
Mr. Gribble's interactive, hands-on sessions motivate, educate, and inspire young people to be their best, not only as young musicians and band members, but in all areas of their lives.
